Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Babi Spazz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Morikawa Shigekiyo!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shigekiyo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Spazz closes the distance and clinches up with Shigekiyo, looking for a takedown. Spazz pushes Shigekiyo against the cage but Shigekiyo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shigekiyo with the counter takedown but Spazz avoids it easily.
Shigekiyo scores with a jab to the body.
Spazz misses with a takedown
and Shigekiyo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Spazz's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spazz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shigekiyo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Spazz pushes a forearm under Shigekiyo's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Shigekiyo is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
