Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Spazz (ranked 3946 p4p, 4003 weight class) and Andrew Callaghan Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Spazz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Callaghan Jr!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spazz gets tackled into the cage by Callaghan Jr. Callaghan Jr maintains the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Callaghan Jr just misses with a elbow thrown towards Spazz's brow.
Callaghan Jr controlling the action here for a moment.
Spazz throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Callaghan Jr blocks it with crossed arms.

Callaghan Jr gets to his feet. Spazz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Spazz lands a nice hook to Callaghan Jr's body. Callaghan Jr takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That kick from Spazz tenderised Callaghan Jr's leg. Callaghan Jr is trying to keep his angry face on.
Spazz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spazz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Callaghan Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spazz somewhat.

Callaghan Jr shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Callaghan Jr was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spazz is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Callaghan Jr has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Callaghan Jr works to advance to full mount. Spazz defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Callaghan Jr is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Spazz has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Spazz!
Callaghan Jr seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Spazz is standing up over Callaghan Jr. Callaghan Jr looks to escape but Spazz dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spazz wants to control but Callaghan Jr is keeping him busy.

Spazz just content to control the position.
Callaghan Jr tries to buck Spazz off but Spazz is having none of it.

Spazz has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Callaghan Jr!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Callaghan Jr is staying active underneath Spazz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Callaghan Jr wants to get back to full guard.

Callaghan Jr has hold of Spazz's hands but Spazz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Spazz wants to take a breather but Callaghan Jr is having none of it.

Callaghan Jr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Spazz will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Spazz with a hook.
Spazz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Spazz tries to close the distance and clinch but Callaghan Jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Callaghan Jr takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Callaghan Jr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Callaghan Jr wants it to stay on the feet.

Spazz dives in and grabs Callaghan Jr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Callaghan Jr pushes down on Spazz's head and hops out.
The fight stays on the outside here - Spazz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Callaghan Jr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spazz sprawls well. Spazz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Callaghan Jr gets slowly back to his feet.

Callaghan Jr tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Spazz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Callaghan Jr walks away with a smile on his face. Spazz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Callaghan Jr now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Callaghan Jr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Callaghan Jr decides to stand back up. Callaghan Jr steps back and let's Spazz get back to his feet.

Spazz chips away with some ground and pound.

Spazz trying to control the position from guard on top but Callaghan Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Let's hope that Callaghan Jr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Spazz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Spazz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Callaghan Jr is adopting a defensive guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Spazz enables Callaghan Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Spazz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Callaghan Jr thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Spazz won't allow Callaghan Jr to sweep him here.

A close second round but Andrew Callaghan Jr will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Callaghan Jr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Spazz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Callaghan Jr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Spazz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Spazz has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Callaghan Jr off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Spazz moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Callaghan Jr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Spazz counters with a nice uppercut.
Spazz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Callaghan Jr tries to avoid it but Spazz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Callaghan Jr to the ground. Callaghan Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Billy Spazz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spazz tries to clinch but Callaghan Jr moves out of range.

Callaghan Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Callaghan Jr remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Spazz is looking to get back to his feet here but Callaghan Jr is keeping cool and he's managed to take Spazz's back.

Callaghan Jr has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Callaghan Jr keeps control of the position easily here as Spazz tries to buck him off.
Callaghan Jr lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Spazz.
Spazz manages to reverse the position and now he's in Callaghan Jr's guard. Nice work there by Spazz.
Callaghan Jr lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Callaghan Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spazz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Spazz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Callaghan Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Callaghan Jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Callaghan Jr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Billy Spazz.
I think Spazz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
