The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wade instigates a clinch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wade has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Meyer works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Wade wants to stall.

Meyer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wade tries to clinch but Meyer moves out of range.
Meyer throws a head kick but Wade moves out of range.
Wade shoots in but Meyer avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Meyer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wade thinking.

Wade fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Meyer manages to avoid it.

Wade drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Meyer defends it well.

Meyer feints and then cracks Wade's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wade down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Meyer drops Wade with a beautiful combination! Wade stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Meyer is looking for the KO!
Meyer connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Wade misses with a body punch.

Meyer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

and as Wade loses concentration momentarily, Meyer counters with a picture perfect head kick! Wade goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!
