Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lito Alcala (ranked 747 p4p, 692 weight class) and Destin Craven (ranked 43 p4p, 37 weight class). Alcala comes to the cage accompanied by MORTAL KOMBAT. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Destin Craven!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craven gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Alcala counters with a nice low kick that buckles Craven's knee momentarily.
Craven misses with a double jab
and Alcala counters with a stiff right hand.
Craven uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Alcala.
Craven swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Alcala was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Alcala throws a head kick but Craven moves out of range.

Craven throws a leg kick which misses Alcala's front leg but catches the back leg as Alcala tries to avoid it.
Craven takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Alcala takes a swing at Craven's ribcage but misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Craven has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Alcala is looking to slow Craven down with leg kicks.

Craven swings for the body but Alcala moves out of range.

Craven drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Alcala sneaks out the side door and pushes Craven away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

It looks like Alcala has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Lito Alcala has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Destin Craven.

Craven walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Alcala steps in with a hook that catches Craven right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Alcala follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Craven looks absolutely devastated.
