Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yka Sonni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dude Dudeson!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudeson throws a chopping leg kick but Sonni manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Sonni tried to counter with a leg kick but Dudeson avoided it.
Dudeson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dudeson lands the left hand.
Dudeson shoots and misses
and Sonni counters with a stiff right hand.
Good leg kick by Dudeson.
Dudeson misses with a wild body shot.
Sonni tried to score with a low kick but Dudeson checks it.
Dudeson staying out of range there.
Dudeson just misses with a punch to the body.
Sonni tried to counter with a leg kick but Dudeson avoided it.
Dudeson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sonni connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dudeson loads up on a big right hand but Sonni slips the punch.
It looked like Sonni was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dudeson.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dudeson is defended easily by Sonni.
Sonni appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Yka Sonni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dude Dudeson.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sonni cracks Dudeson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Dudeson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Sonni pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Dudeson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yka Sonni!
Yka Sonni seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
The defeated Dude Dudeson had this to say: 'What can I say, im still the king between the sheets. Ladies hit me up 904-The-Dude!!!'.
