And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glen Hoddle!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flair walks into a jab.
Flair tries to clinch up
and Hoddle counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Hoddle moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Flair goes down! Can Hoddle finish him!?

Flair is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hoddle is fighting to break Flair's control of his arms but Flair is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Oh Flair is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hoddle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Hoddle wants to control from the top but Flair keeps moving.
Flair seems to have got his legs back now.
Hoddle being controlled here momentarily.
Hoddle stopping the sweep attempt from Flair.
Hoddle with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hoddle keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Flair's head.
Flair wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flair keeping moving, preventing Hoddle from controlling successfully.
Hoddle throwing strikes from guard but Flair blocks nicely.
Hoddle is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hoddle postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Flair wants to sweep but no luck.

Hoddle trying to control the position from guard on top but Flair is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Hoddle scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flair is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hoddle postures up in Flair's guard and throws a big left but Flair blocks it.

Hoddle controlling from the top position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A slow jab from Flair misses its intended target.
Flair looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hoddle fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hoddle scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Flair doesn't seem bothered though.
Flair takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Flair takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Flair swinging wildly here.
Flair tries to clinch up.
Hoddle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Flair manages to avoid it.
Hoddle throws a push kick but Flair slaps the foot to one side.
Hoddle dips to his left and cracks Flair with an uppercut!
Flair misses with a jab, cross combination.
Flair walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flair misses with a hook.
Hoddle scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Glen Hoddle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hoddle cracks Flair with a hook to the temple - Flair is on wobbly legs here! Hoddle swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Flair falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Hoddle wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Glen Hoddle!

Glen Hoddle bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
