The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarkson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

OConnor is staying active underneath Clarkson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Clarkson looking for a submission but OConnor manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

OConnor can't keep his opponent in guard - Clarkson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Clarkson uses his free foot to push down on OConnor's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for OConnor.
