Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 16 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, William OConnor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hudson Clarkson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clarkson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Clarkson is taking a breather. OConnor says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Clarkson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, OConnor has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clarkson is trying to work for a kimura but OConnor is defending well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. OConnor is looking to control Clarkson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can OConnor avoid being mounted?

Clarkson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and OConnor defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. OConnor is staying active underneath Clarkson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Clarkson looking for a submission but OConnor manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Clarkson trying to control but OConnor is working from the bottom. OConnor can't keep his opponent in guard - Clarkson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Clarkson is looking for a kimura but OConnor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Clarkson to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. OConnor is refusing to be controlled, as Clarkson sits in half guard. Clarkson uses his free foot to push down on OConnor's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for OConnor. Clarkson trying to control but he's not successful this time. OConnor is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Clarkson controlling from the full mount. OConnor is looking to improve his position but Clarkson isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clarkson quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Clarkson but it's paid off an OConnor is forced to tap! Nice work by Clarkson.
