The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walton throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Garlind takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A head kick misses from Walton.

Garlind throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Walton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Garlind is in Walton's guard.
Walton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Garlind is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Walton sees it coming and defends easily.

Walton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Garlind is working away from the top position though.
Walton is refusing to be controlled, as Garlind sits in half guard.

Garlind is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Walton!
Walton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garlind. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Garlind avoids the attempt from Walton to control.
