Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Raymond King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 25 - 0, fighting out of London, William Reeves! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reeves tries for a takedown but King circles away easily and King counters with a one-two to the body. King looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. King's corner calls for a 1-2. King obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. King drops Reeves with a beautiful combination! Reeves stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - King is looking for the KO!
Reeves is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Horrible takedown attempt by King or perhaps it was just good defense by Reeves, which made it look bad. Reeves is still on wobbly legs! Can King finish him? King lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Reeves up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs King from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Reeves's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Raymond King! Raymond King gave a mention to Maximum Human Performance in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
