PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tanner Jamesson (ranked 4273 p4p, 2893 weight class) and Ferris Naso (ranked 455 p4p, 353 weight class). Naso has chosen chapter four - avenged sevenfold as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ferris Naso!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naso with a lazy takedown attempt

and Jamesson counters by moving into the clinch.
Jamesson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Naso in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Jamesson has Naso pressed against the cage, preventing Naso from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Jamesson manages to break the clinch.
Naso tries to clinch but Jamesson moves out of range.

It looks like Ferris Naso has been cut.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jamesson in particular looking to stall.

Jamesson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Naso manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Naso is trying to control the position but Jamesson postures up.
Jamesson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jamesson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jamesson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Naso is trying desperately to improve position.
Jamesson lands with some strikes.

Naso is wriggling around trying to escape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jamesson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
