Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 24226 p4p, 24247 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walay Buut is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 20 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buut as he jumps to the side. Buut feints the counter takedown. Buut slaps away a takedown attempt from Mibangon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Buut counters with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mibangon as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Buut is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Buut with a lazy takedown attempt and Mibangon counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Buut! Mibangon is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Buut wants to control but Mibangon postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mibangon controls the position. A bit of a lull in the action here. Buut is being controlled here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mibangon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Buut for as long as he can get away with.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mibangon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Buut's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mibangon's guard. Mibangon is pulling down on Buut's head. It's preventing any offense from Buut, at least for the moment. Buut is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Mibangon has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Buut. Buut stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Buut wants it to stay on the feet. Buut steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Buut counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mibangon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Mibangon uses his free foot to push down on Buut's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Buut. Buut is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buut tries to hold on but Mibangon pushes him away. Mibangon looking to control but Buut is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Buut not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mibangon is looking to sweep but instead, Buut has passed into half guard.
Buut controlling the action here. Mibangon wants to get back to full guard but Buut has passed into side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut working away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round! Buut shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mibangon throws a quick counter head kick but Buut was just out of range. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Buut napping and manages to drive through into side control! Buut controls the position for a moment. You can see the frustration on Buut's face as Mibangon controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut wants to control but Mibangon postures up. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

He's pushed Buut's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mibangon throws a counter high kick but Buut was just alert enough to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buut tries to sprawl but Mibangon drives through with a takedown into half guard. Buut misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut tries to hold on but Mibangon pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mibangon unloads with some shots from mount but Buut bucks and avoids them well.

Buut is trying desperately to improve position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Minatay Mibangon showed his dominance in that final round. I think Mibangon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
