Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Cruz (ranked 2142 p4p, 1843 weight class) and Tree Fortay (ranked 178 p4p, 157 weight class). Cruz comes to the cage accompanied by Daddy Yankee / Gasolina. Fortay has chosen The Choice Is Yours as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pablo Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Tree Fortay!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortay misses the jab.
Cruz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fortay.
Cruz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nice uppercut lands for Cruz. That snapped Fortay's head back.
Fortay lands a really nice looking cross but Cruz seems unphased.
Cruz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fortay manages to avoid it.
Sloppy strikes from Fortay. Those never looked like landing.
Cruz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fortay.
Fortay moves away from the strike by Cruz.
Fortay appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Fortay works Cruz's body with a nice hook.
Fortay shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fortay was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fortay wants to control but Cruz is keeping him busy.
Fortay looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fortay tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Cruz stops Fortay from passing to mount.
Fortay is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Cruz looks calm but he's in trouble here. Fortay gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Cruz is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Fortay lets go of the hold and Cruz can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tree Fortay!
During a confident post fight interview, Tree Fortay thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
