Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mr Bean (ranked 2765 p4p, 3069 weight class) and Olu Banjo (ranked 151 p4p, 168 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Olu Banjo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banjo misses with a left hand
and Bean makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Banjo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bean was well out of range. Poor timing from Banjo.
It looked like Bean was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A looping hook to the body misses from Banjo. Bean does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bean fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Banjo swings widly with a right hand
and Banjo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Bean was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Bean tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Banjo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A close round but Olu Banjo will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bean got a little sloppy there for a moment and Banjo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bean has managed to get both his arms back between Banjo's legs - danger averted.
Our spies down at at EMP WORLDCLASS inform us that Banjo has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banjo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bean doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bean manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Banjo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Bean has his hands clasped together but Banjo extends and breaks Bean's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Banjo.
