Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Menda Sushi (ranked 3985 p4p, 2843 weight class) and Andrew Callaghan Iii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Callaghan Iii!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sushi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Callaghan Iii walks away with a smile on his face. Sushi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Callaghan Iii tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sushi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Callaghan Iii takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
No luck for Sushi with that takedown attempt.
Callaghan Iii closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sushi circles away.
Sushi throws a big counter combination but Callaghan Iii scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Sushi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Callaghan Iii fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Callaghan Iii shoots in looking for a takedown. Sushi tries to sprawl out of it but Callaghan Iii keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sushi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
