Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gubba GU (ranked 3250 p4p, 2839 weight class) and Soggy Toast (ranked 338 p4p, 306 weight class). Toast is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fuel and Fire - Bride. Soggy Toast has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gubba GU! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Soggy Toast! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toast paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. GU throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

It looks like Soggy Toast has been cut. GU looks to throw the jab but Toast is out of range. GU throws a combination that misses and Toast counters with a nice double leg into guard. GU is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. GU controls Toast momentarily but Toast frees himself. Toast's corner is telling him to maintain position. Toast won't allow GU to get back to his feet. Toast is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. GU working a defensive guard but Toast passes into half guard.

GU is staying active underneath Toast, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Toast moves nicely into side control. Toast is looking to take a break and control but GU is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Toast looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Toast wants to lay and pray for a moment but GU keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. GU is trying to get back to half guard. Toast working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. GU is trying to improve his position. Toast content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Toast trying to control the action but GU is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Toast tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Toast has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Toast wants to lay and pray for a moment but GU keeps working. You can see the frustration on GU's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Soggy Toast dominated that round. The cut man is working on Soggy Toast's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Toast staying out of range there. Toast feints the counter takedown. Toast shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Toast throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Toast wants to lay and pray for a moment but GU keeps working. GU has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Toast is working away from the top position though. Toast seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but GU does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Toast is thwarting GU's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Toast is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, GU has managed to free his arm - good work. GU trying to control here.

Toast is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and GU defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toast is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
GU wants to get back to full guard. Toast trying to control from half guard but GU is working away. Toast prevents GU from standing back up.
Toast has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can GU defend it? Toast steps over the head and cranks it - GU is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Toast!
