Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Nix (ranked 3972 p4p, 3922 weight class) and John Danaher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Nix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Danaher!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nix throws a push kick but Danaher slaps the foot to one side.
Nix looks for a takedown but Danaher sprawls well.
Nix doesn't manage to clinch there - Danaher circles away.
Danaher tries to clinch up but Nix circles away and keeps his distance.
A low kick lands for Danaher.
Danaher throws a head kick that misses.
Nix clinches with his opponent.
Nix taking a breather.
Nix tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nix is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Danaher misses with an elbow over the top.
Nix drops down looking for an ankle pick but Danaher pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Nix. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Danaher fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Danaher lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Nix moves into the clinch.
Nix misses with a body punch.
Danaher keeps control of Nix as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Danaher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Danaher will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nix tries to close the distance and clinch but Danaher swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Danaher gets tackled into the cage by Nix. Nix maintains the clinch.
Nix misses with an elbow strike.
Danaher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Danaher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nix fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Danaher avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nix shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Danaher sprawls well. Danaher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nix gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Nix.
Danaher moves into the clinch.
Danaher breaks from the clinch.
Nix plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Danaher pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Danaher lands a slapping body shot.
Danaher misses with a looping right.
Nix changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Danaher looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Danaher wants to get back to his feet.
Nix throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Nix staying calm.
Nix postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Danaher prevents Nix from improving position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nix throws an elbow but Danaher slips to the side and avoids it well.
Danaher wants to get back to his feet.
Danaher avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Nix.
Nix throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Nix controls the position from side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Danaher is pushing Nix's head away, looking to escape. Nix manages to hold on to the position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Danaher will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!
Nix with a lazy takedown attempt
and Danaher counters with a head kick that drops Nix to the mat! Nix scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Nix is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
Danaher fails to land with a series of punches.
Nix is looking for a counter combo.
Oh Nix is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nix fails with the takedown
and Danaher counters with a big right hand! Oh Nix is in trouble here! Danaher follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Danaher!
