And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Bisping!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for penn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bisping shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. penn is trying to defend but Bisping finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bisping is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
penn is trying to stand up here but Bisping is controlling him well.
Bisping tries to stand but his hand is stuck under penn.
Bisping seems to be working for a kimura but penn defends the submission attempt.

Bisping changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. penn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bisping looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
penn is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Bisping has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Bisping thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bisping swings around for an armbar but penn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bisping's guard.

Bisping is looking for a triangle here but penn uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
penn wants to stand but Bisping is controlling his arm.
penn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no penn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
