Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nate Atkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jai Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards clinches up with Atkin and pushes him back against the cage.
Edwards tries to land knees in the clinch but Atkin avoids the damage to the body.
Edwards tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Atkin avoids it.
Edwards is trying to pull guard but Atkin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Edwards prevents the takedown attempt.
Atkin lands a nice shot to the body.
Atkin wants to take the fight to the mat but Edwards manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Atkin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Edwards walks away with a smile on his face. Atkin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Atkin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Atkin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Atkin has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Edwards is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Atkin yanks on the arm and Edwards is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Atkin.
