Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugus Amiga (ranked 23913 p4p, 23917 weight class) and Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kugus Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Amiga misses with a takedown attempt - Salvacion sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Amiga goes for a double leg but Salvacion avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Salvacion continues to drive forward. Amiga is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Salvacion can't fight it off and eventually Amiga manages to take the fight to the floor. Salvacion looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Salvacion's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Amiga trying to control the position from guard on top but Salvacion is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Salvacion can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Amiga controls the pace. Salvacion is pulling down on Amiga's head. It's preventing any offense from Amiga, at least for the moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Amiga shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kugus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amiga misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Salvacion steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga shoots in but no luck this time. Salvacion counters with a body kick. Amiga tries for a takedown but Salvacion circles away easily and Salvacion counters with a nice double leg into side control. Amiga won't be happy with that. Salvacion working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Amiga tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Salvacion wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Salvacion controlling the position from side mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Clifford Val Salvacion dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Amiga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salvacion pinned against the cage. Salvacion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Salvacion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Amiga circles away. Amiga lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Amiga is defended easily by Salvacion. Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amiga wants it to stay on the feet. It looked like Amiga was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Amiga goes for a double leg but Salvacion avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Salvacion continues to drive forward. Salvacion follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kugus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Salvacion tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Salvacion drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Salvacion is pressed up against the cage. Amiga has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Salvacion down to the mat. Salvacion avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Salvacion will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Amiga fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Amiga manages to step out the way in time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Salvacion or perhaps it was just good defense by Amiga, which made it look bad. Amiga is looking to counter with a body kick. Amiga closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salvacion to the mat! Salvacion manages to get full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salvacion is pulling down on Amiga's head to control his posture. Amiga throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Salvacion works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion is trying to keep Amiga in close.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kugus Amiga dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Amiga defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salvacion. Amiga swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Amiga with a lazy takedown attempt and Salvacion finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Salvacion shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Salvacion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Salvacion is continuing to stall. Amiga is trying to control but can't.

Amiga seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Salvacion stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amiga swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Amiga shoots in and gets a takedown into Salvacion's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Amiga looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Salvacion pulls Amiga in close to prevent any damage. Kugus Amiga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Amiga stopping the sweep attempt from Salvacion. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion pulls Amiga in close to prevent any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kugus Amiga. I think Amiga has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
