Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Baki Hanma (ranked 4761 p4p, 24319 weight class) and Gakus Amiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gakus Amiga is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baki Hanma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Amiga. Hanma is trying to control Amiga's posture but Amiga avoids it. Amiga controlling the position from side mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hanma rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Amiga counters with a shoot takedown. Hanma fights it but they end up in guard. Hanma is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Amiga dives into side control.
Amiga happy to just control the position for now. Hanma might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Hanma is trying to improve his position. You can see the frustration on Hanma's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Amiga controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Amiga tries for a kimura but Hanma is defending well. Hanma is letting Amiga control him for a moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You can see the frustration on Hanma's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gakus Amiga dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Hanma misses with a hook
so Amiga counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hanma looking for a sweep. Not yet Hanma, not yet. Amiga stays in close to Hanma's body and controls the position. Amiga throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Amiga has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Amiga uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hanma. And Amiga responds with a good body kick, but Hanma manages to step out the way in time. Hanma misses with a right hand and Amiga counters with a single leg into guard. Hanma didn't expect that. Hanma wants to control the position but Amiga says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Amiga prevents Hanma from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Amiga seems content to control. Hanma is looking to control Amiga's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hanma avoid being mounted? Gakus Amiga has got the better of the ground game so far. Amiga controlling the action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Amiga ducks under a wild hook from Hanma. Hanma connects with a good right hand that stumbles Amiga. Amiga circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Baki Hanma is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Amiga moves away from the strike by Hanma. Amiga uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hanma. Amiga is trying to counter with his kicks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Amiga keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hanma. And Amiga responds with a good body kick, but Hanma manages to step out the way in time. Hanma throws a hook but Amiga blocks it. Hanma throws a hook but Amiga avoids it easily. Hanma looks to land a left hand but Amiga moved out of range nicely. Amiga let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Hanma scoring well with a low kick there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hanma lands a nice leg kick that just misses Amiga's sensitive parts. A slow jab from Hanma misses its intended target. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Gakus Amiga will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Amiga shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Amiga is standing up over Hanma. Hanma looks to escape but Amiga dives into side control.
Hanma could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hanma wants to control but Amiga postures up. Hanma being controlled for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hanma jabbing away but nothing is landing. Amiga thinks about the counter body kick. Hanma misses with an uppercut. Hanma scores with a decent looking hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga moves away from the strike by Hanma. Hanma swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Amiga replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Hanma blocks it well. Hanma sizes up Amiga with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Hanma throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Amiga unleashes a big counter combination but Hanma bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Hanma throws a leg kick that is checked and Amiga counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Amiga. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hanma looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Amiga keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hanma's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hanma is looking to stand back up but Amiga counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hanma. Amiga not doing much here.
Gakus Amiga is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Amiga working over Hanma with some ground and pound. Hanma looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
And that's the end of the fight! Gakus Amiga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Amiga winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
