Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Svyatogor (ranked 378 p4p, 797 weight class) and Akuma Manivong (ranked 22 p4p, 42 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimitri Svyatogor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Akuma Manivong!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Manivong is predictable there
and Svyatogor counters with a stiff right hand.
Manivong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Svyatogor sprawls well initially but Manivong persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Svyatogor regains full guard. Nicely done.
Manivong tries to free his leg and advance position but Svyatogor is retaining full guard.
Manivong drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Svyatogor dives on top into guard.

Svyatogor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Manivong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Svyatogor feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Manivong sprawling to the canvas! Manivong rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Svyatogor finish him?!

Dimitri Svyatogor really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Brooklyn Apothecary logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
