Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Pinsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Branimir Tanev!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinsky shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Tanev has a hand on Pinsky's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Pinsky takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Tanev regains half guard.
Tanev punching from the bottom.
Tanev is controlling Pinsky's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Pinsky throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Tanev is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tanev trying to control but Pinsky postures up.
Pinsky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tanev on the ground.
Tanev wants to improve his position but Pinsky is controlling well.
Tanev moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pinsky throwing strikes but missing.
Tanev is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tanev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Tanev lands strikes from half guard.
Pinsky on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Tanev prevents Pinsky from standing back up.
Tanev content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Tanev works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pinsky is bucking up trying to escape but Tanev cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Tanev is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tanev takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
BOOM! Tanev connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pinsky is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tanev drops a big elbow. That's hurt Pinsky! More shots from Tanev and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Branimir Tanev!
In his post fight interview, Branimir Tanev started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
