Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edson Barboozer (ranked 3210 p4p, 1696 weight class) and Everett Covington (ranked 360 p4p, 223 weight class). With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Everett Covington!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barboozer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Covington working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barboozer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barboozer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Covington manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Barboozer manages to get himself to full guard.
