Garcia comes to the cage accompanied by All For You. mark banks will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sergio Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, mark banks! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. banks tries to pull guard but Garcia holds him up against the cage and eventually banks drops back down to his feet.
Garcia slows down the pace here.
Garcia gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from banks.
Garcia has had enough of the clinch but banks keeps him there for the moment. Garcia has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics banks uses from the top position. Garcia has a closed guard, preventing banks from standing up. Garcia keeping moving, preventing banks from controlling successfully. banks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcia has control of banks's left arm, preventing banks from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. banks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. banks lands a couple of decent looking shots. banks prevents Garcia from getting back to his feet. Garcia striking off his back but it's not causing banks any problems. banks tries to free his leg and advance position but Garcia is retaining full guard. banks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garcia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Garcia manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. banks manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Garcia scoring with some ground and pound. banks wants to stand up but Garcia is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. banks is trying to control the position but Garcia postures up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Garcia accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Garcia stands and steps away. banks gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Garcia closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming banks to the mat! banks manages to get full guard. banks is working an open guard so Garcia takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Garcia rushes banks and presses him up against the cage. banks tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Garcia just stands there and leans against the cage. Sergio Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mark banks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia gets control of banks's arms and successfully pulls guard. Garcia will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Garcia trying to control the position here. banks looks gassed! banks looking to improve position, pressing down on Garcia's thigh with his hand. Garcia seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is banks paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! banks's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Garcia picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
