Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Gotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aku Ankka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafael Gotti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aku Ankka!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ankka scores a takedown into full mount!
Gotti is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Ankka with a flurry of punches that miss.

Ankka is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gotti is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Ankka won't allow Gotti to sweep him here.

Gotti had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ankka is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gotti Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ankka's back instead.

Gotti is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Ankka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gotti. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ankka wants to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gotti jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ankka is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ankka and Gotti has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gotti is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ankka has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gotti wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ankka, who protects the arm well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ankka can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gotti thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ankka is looking for a sweep.

Gotti is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ankka is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ankka can't do much from the bottom here.
Ankka is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gotti has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Ankka regains half guard.

Gotti is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ankka is looking to control Gotti's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ankka avoid being mounted?

Gotti looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gotti is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rafael Gotti dominated that round.
That's time! Gotti's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Gotti bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ankka throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Gotti is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ankka looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gotti gets his head over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ankka is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gotti lets go of the hold and Ankka can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rafael Gotti!
