Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Raul (ranked 14610 p4p, 4118 weight class) and Gustavus Adolphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Raul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gustavus Adolphus!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adolphus scores with a takedown into Raul's guard.
Adolphus stands up over Raul, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adolphus drops an elbow to the side of Raul's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Adolphus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Raul is trying to control but can't.

Let's hope that Adolphus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Adolphus working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Oh Raul is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
