The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Budang throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Budang ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alvarez moves away.
Alvarez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Budang.
Budang throws a body shot but no joy.
Budang misses with a left hand
and Alvarez counters with a right hand to the body.
Alvarez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The strikes coming from Alvarez are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Alvarez wants to control but Budang is keeping him busy.
Alvarez lands a few punches from side control.
Alvarez has hold of Budang's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Budang tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Alvarez cranks the arm and Budang screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Budang, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
