Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brady Mayfield !
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayfield pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Moore wants to clinch

and Mayfield counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moore won't be happy with that.
Who's going to make the next move?
Moore sneaks back into half guard.
Mayfield tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mayfield is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moore is holding on to half guard well.
Moore might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Moore wants to improve his position but Mayfield is controlling well.
Mayfield wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moore keeps working.
Mayfield perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mayfield is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Moore jumps guard but Mayfield turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Moore wants to clinch up but Mayfield keeps it at a distance.

Moore forces Mayfield back against the cage and clinches.
Moore tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mayfield smiles and moves away.

Mayfield looks for a takedown but Moore sprawls well.

Mayfield moves in looking to clinch but Moore pushes him off.
Moore tries to clinch up but Mayfield circles away and keeps his distance.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Moore is stinking the place up with his stalling.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mayfield can do anything to dispel that myth.
Moore has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Keifer Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moore tries to close the distance and clinch but Mayfield swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Moore.
Moore bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mayfield 's guard.

Mayfield is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moore is controlling him.

Moore seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
