Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aiolia de Leao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Clayman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mike Clayman was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aiolia de Leao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Clayman! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clayman stuffs the takedown attempt from de Leao. de Leao gets slowly back to his feet. de Leao is looking to clinch. de Leao tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. de Leao is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Clayman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Clayman showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. de Leao tries to roll over but Clayman keeps him under control. de Leao actively working from the bottom here. Clayman is trying to control the action in half guard but de Leao is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Clayman scoring with strikes to the body and head. de Leao actively working from the bottom here. de Leao with the active half guard here but Clayman passes nicely into side control. de Leao is breathing heavily. Clayman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Clayman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. de Leao wants to control but Clayman postures up. de Leao is trying to improve his position. de Leao is not content to let Clayman control the position. Clayman tries to advance to mount but can't. de Leao takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
de Leao is trying to get back to half guard. Clayman grinds an elbow into de Leao's temple. Clayman lands a nice forearm strike. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clayman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. de Leao is not content to let Clayman control the position. Clayman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by de Leao, who protects the arm well. Clayman tries for a kimura but de Leao is defending well. Clayman wants to control but de Leao is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on de Leao's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Clayman has hold of de Leao's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! de Leao tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Clayman cranks the arm and de Leao screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from de Leao, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mike Clayman!
