Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 24519 p4p, 24453 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wala Sapi acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 20 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Sapi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mibangon's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sapi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Sapi preventing the sweep. Mibangon wants to control but Sapi passes easily into half guard.
Mibangon is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon trying to hold on to Sapi's head to control him but Sapi postures up.
Mibangon has his hands clasped together around Sapi's back. He's all about the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Mibangon tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sapi controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mibangon holds on for dear life, controlling Sapi's posture momentarily. Mibangon wants to control but Sapi is having none of it. Mibangon is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi controlling his opponent. Sapi punching from mount but Mibangon doing a good job of avoiding damage. Sapi is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mibangon is surviving well by controlling Sapi's body position as best he can. Sapi controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sapi with shots to the head and body - Mibangon looks very uncomfortable down there. Sapi throwing strikes here but Mibangon is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Sapi controlling from mount. Mibangon wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Sapi.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sapi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wala Sapi dominated that round. That's time! Mibangon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Mibangon. Mibangon taking a breather here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sapi is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon taking a break here but Sapi is having none of it and regains half guard. Sapi keeping hold of Mibangon's head, controlling as best he can. Mibangon stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sapi desperately trying to maintain half guard. Mibangon is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sapi. Sapi shoots in for a takedown but Mibangon shows good takedown defense. Sapi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mibangon is fending him off so far but Sapi persists. Nope, Mibangon circles away and we're back to standing. Mibangon throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sapi avoids it. Mibangon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sapi. Mibangon appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wala Sapi. Sapi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mibangon napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sapi taking a breather here. Mibangon struggling a bit here. Mibangon tries to improve position but can't. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sapi is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mibangon will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Mibangon tries to buck Sapi off but Sapi is having none of it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Mibangon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sapi avoids it really well and circles away. Mibangon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Sapi!
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sapi wants to control but Mibangon postures up. Sapi has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sapi being controlled for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sapi manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mibangon's best efforts. Sapi desperately trying to maintain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mibangon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sapi replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Mibangon blocks it well. Mibangon misses with a takedown attempt - Sapi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sapi. Mibangon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Mibangon fails with a takedown attempt. Sapi is looking for the big counter here.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Wala Sapi. Well Sapi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
