Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jackson (ranked 4409 p4p, 4351 weight class) and Arman Sakkara (ranked 456 p4p, 455 weight class). Arman Sakkara struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arman Sakkara! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson drives through and clinches with Sakkara against the cage.

Sakkara tries to work over Jackson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Jackson content to slow the pace in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson avoids a wild elbow strike from Sakkara. Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sakkara pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson looking to score a takedown here. Sakkara is defending well but Jackson drives through and ends up in Sakkara's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakkara wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jackson advances to half guard. Sakkara trying to hold on to Jackson's head to control him but Jackson postures up.
Sakkara tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control. Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sakkara does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Sakkara is looking to escape. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sakkara can do anything to dispel that myth. Sakkara avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jackson. Sakkara wants to get back to his feet. Jackson wants to work for an arm triangle but Sakkara is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sakkara wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jackson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sakkara has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson stops Sakkara from getting back to his feet.
Jackson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sakkara is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
