Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kartoffeln Suppe (ranked 4081 p4p, 4072 weight class) and John Wetton (ranked 419 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kartoffeln Suppe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Wetton! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wetton tries to clinch but fails miserably and Suppe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Suppe thuds a left hand into Wetton's body. Suppe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wetton on the side of the head. Wetton takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Suppe paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Suppe gets tackled into the cage by Wetton. Wetton maintains the clinch. Suppe is working Wetton over against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. A bit of stalling here from Wetton.
Suppe presses Wetton against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Suppe misses with a body punch.
Wetton is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Wetton fails to pull guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Suppe tries a body shot but Wetton blocks it.
Wetton jumps guard but Suppe stands there with Wetton around his waist. Wetton gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Wetton is trying to maintain a safe position but Suppe gets an underhook and turns Wetton into the cage. Wetton is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Suppe is keeping busy. Wetton seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by John Wetton. Suppe getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Wetton instigates a clinch. Suppe lands with a short shot to the head. Suppe scores with an uppercut up the middle. Suppe lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Wetton or not. Suppe presses Wetton against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A left hand lands to the body for Suppe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in the clinch, Suppe scores with a nice short uppercut. Suppe misses with a hook to the ribs.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Wetton will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Suppe up against the cage. Wetton leaning his opponent against the cage. Wetton stalling in the clinch but Suppe improves position. Suppe scores with a shoulder strike. Wetton is trying to maintain a safe position but Suppe gets an underhook and turns Wetton into the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by John Wetton. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Suppe, as that shot connected.
Wetton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kartoffeln Suppe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Wetton. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wetton shoots for a takedown but Suppe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. It looked like Suppe was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wetton. Suppe jabs Wetton to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suppe lands a nice looking body shot.
Wetton tries to move into range but Suppe moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Suppe uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Suppe connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Suppe is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Wetton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Suppe to the mat! Suppe manages to get full guard. Wetton advances position into side control! Wetton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Suppe keeps working. Wetton is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Suppe is trying to escape and Wetton transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Suppe is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wetton! Very nice indeed!
