The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Romerez. No joy for Cav on that attempt. Cav tries to clinch up. Cav looks for a takedown but Romerez sprawls well. Cav will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Cav. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cav misses with a takedown attempt - Romerez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Romerez scores with a takedown into Cav's guard. Romerez wants to stand but Cav is controlling his posture from full guard. Cav is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Romerez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Romerez wants to control from the top but Cav keeps moving. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Chris Cav has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cav tries to buck Romerez off but Romerez is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Romerez wants to control but Cav is keeping him busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Sergio Romerez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Romerez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
