Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vladimir Kozlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miki Zameryki!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozlov lands a body shot.
Zameryki's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kozlov under the eye.
Kozlov scores with a hook.
Kozlov scores with a decent looking hook.
Kozlov connects with the punch.
Zameryki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kozlov.
Kozlov lands a glancing blow to the side of Zameryki's head.
Kozlov drops Zameryki with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zameryki looks back up at him and smiles so Kozlov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Zameryki is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zameryki misses with a lunging right hand
and Kozlov counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Zameryki has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Vladimir Kozlov!
After winning the bout, Vladimir Kozlov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
