Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Johns (ranked 4424 p4p, 3409 weight class) and Batara Sari (ranked 439 p4p, 375 weight class). Johns comes to the cage accompanied by Gimme That Boom. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Johns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Batara Sari! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johns tries to clinch there but Sari circles away.
Johns tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sari swats him away and circles back towards the center. David Johns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johns connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sari. Sari circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Good exchange - Johns coming out on top. Johns rushes Sari and presses him up against the cage. Johns lands with a light punch inside. Johns trying to land knees to the body.
Johns lands a hook that snaps the head of Sari backwards. Sari has Johns pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Johns manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johns lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Johns lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A hook to the body from Johns.
Johns throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Saris head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sari's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
That's one minute gone in the round. Johns throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Saris head. Sari changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Johns fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A cross from Johns lands. No luck with that takedown attempt from Johns. Sari with the counter takedown but Johns avoids it easily. Sari on the wrong end of a nice hook. Sari fails in his attempt to clinch. Johns throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sari shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johns is trying to maintain the position but Sari is very close to passing his half guard. Sari is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Johns is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Batara Sari! David Johns was interviewed post fight and said 'Wasn't my day to BOOM. Congratulations to my opponent, they were the better fighter today. See you all on the next one!'.
