Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ajwopoko Johnson (ranked 4266 p4p, 4281 weight class) and Robbie Shakespeare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ajwopoko Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robbie Shakespeare! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shakespeare misses with a hook. Johnson throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Johnson throws a head kick that misses. Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Shakespeare just misses with a punch to the body.
Johnson dives in and grabs Shakespeare's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shakespeare pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out. Shakespeare misses with an uppercut
letting Johnson counter with a right hand.
It looks like Robbie Shakespeare has been cut. Johnson slips under a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shakespeare throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Johnson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Shakespeare throws the left hand but Johnson avoids the punch easily. Shakespeare swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson. Shakespeare swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shakespeare throws a poor cross that misses
and Johnson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Shakespeare takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Shakespeare throws a lazy uppercut
and Johnson counters with a series of strikes. Shakespeare will be more careful next time no doubt. Shakespeare digs a good hook to Johnson's body.
Shakespeare fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Johnson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A head kick from Johnson lands but Shakespeare takes it in his stride. Johnson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Ajwopoko Johnson has been cut. Johnson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Shakespeare swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shakespeare. Ajwopoko Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shakespeare avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Shakespeare swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Shakespeare keeps the fight on the outside. Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shakespeare but Shakespeare pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ajwopoko Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson shoots in and drives through. Shakespeare sprawls well. Johnson tries to clinch but Shakespeare is having none of it. Shakespeare lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A telegraphed right hand from Shakespeare misses the target. Johnson is looking to clinch. Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shakespeare's waist but Shakespeare gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side. Shakespeare throws a hook but Johnson avoids it easily. Johnson tries to counter with a takedown but Shakespeare is quick to defend against it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Shakespeare, which made it look bad. Johnson is breathing heavily. Shakespeare lands a nice shot to the body.
A jab lands there for Shakespeare. A head kick misses from Johnson. Shakespeare is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Johnson with a body shot. Shakespeare throws a monster overhand right that drops Johnson! Shakespeare follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robbie Shakespeare!
