Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Punch Power (ranked 5896 p4p, 4445 weight class) and Deon Beir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Punch Power has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Punch Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Deon Beir!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power tries to clinch
and Beir counters with a series of strikes. Power will be more careful next time no doubt.
A head kick from Beir lands but Power takes it in his stride.
Punch Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Power tries to clinch but Beir moves away

and Beir counters with a single leg into guard. Power didn't expect that.
Beir prevents Power from getting back to his feet.
Beir engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Power wants to sweep here but Beir controlling him for the moment.
Beir lands a couple of digs.
Beir passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Beir thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Power is looking to reverse the position.
Power is trying to escape the position but Beir is controlling the position.

Beir looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Power tries to buck Beir off but Beir is having none of it.

Beir decides to stand back up. Beir steps back and let's Power get back to his feet.
Power tries to clinch but Beir is having none of it.

Beir shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Beir stalling.

Power trying to control but Beir postures up.
Power wants to improve his position but Beir is controlling well.
Power is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Beir looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Beir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Power napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Beir decides to stand up, so the ref orders Power to his feet.

Beir rushes Power and presses him up against the cage.
Power jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beir walks away with a smile on his face. Power gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Beir.

Beir has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Power tries to sprawl but Beir drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Beir takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Beir seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Power is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
