Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tom DeBlass!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from DeBlass.
DeBlass closes the distance and clinches up with Makarov, looking for a takedown. DeBlass pushes Makarov against the cage but Makarov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Makarov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into DeBlass's guard.
Makarov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Makarov's corner is telling him to maintain position.

DeBlass looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if DeBlass can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

DeBlass had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Makarov defends it easily.

DeBlass manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Makarov manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

DeBlass shoots in for a double leg but Makarov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
DeBlass throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Makarov's waist but Makarov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing DeBlass off to one side.

Ivan Makarov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom DeBlass.

Makarov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming DeBlass to the mat! DeBlass manages to get full guard.
Makarov postures up in DeBlass's guard and throws a big left but DeBlass blocks it.

DeBlass is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

DeBlass is rocked!
Makarov postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! DeBlass covers up, he's hurt! Makarov keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Makarov and the ref steps in to end the fight! Makarov can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
