The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Makarov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Anderson to the mat! Anderson manages to get full guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Makarov (2) vs (0) Anderson Makarov's corner is telling him to maintain position. Makarov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Anderson is keeping the position for now. Makarov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Makarov trying to move into half guard but instead Anderson has managed to sweep! Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
