Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Donard (ranked 4328 p4p, 4139 weight class) and Blormarbius Goostain Runkums (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Blormarbius Goostain Runkums!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goostain Runkums smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Big Donard has been cut.
Donard avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Donard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Goostain Runkums.
Goostain Runkums slips a straight right by Donard.
Goostain Runkums decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Donard scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Goostain Runkums manages to mount him!
Donard's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Donard is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Donard feints and as Goostain Runkums raises his hands in defense, Donard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Goostain Runkums has his foot on Donard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Donard works his way back into a safe position though.

Donard wants to stand but Goostain Runkums is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Donard darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Donard seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Goostain Runkums moves in looking to clinch but Donard pushes him off.
Donard drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Donard wants to stand but Goostain Runkums has his arm trapped.
Goostain Runkums is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Donard is controlling him well.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Donard fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Goostain Runkums to the ground. Donard is now in Goostain Runkums's guard.
Donard tries to stand but Goostain Runkums is controlling from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Goostain Runkums looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Donard counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Goostain Runkums throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Donard wants to stand but Goostain Runkums has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Donard stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Goostain Runkums ducks under a wild hook from Donard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Goostain Runkums throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Donard crashing down! Donard tries to stagger back to his feet but Goostain Runkums just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Donard asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
