Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cody Dillon (ranked 4269 p4p, 4007 weight class) and Deon Maui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maui slips a jab from Dillon.
Maui shoots in for a double leg but Dillon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dillon throws a lazy right hand but Maui sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Maui looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It looked like Dillon was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Maui steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dillon.
Dillon misses with a hook.
Dillon misses with an uppercut. Maui saw that one coming.
Dillon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maui circles away quickly and effectively.
Maui uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dillon.
Maui tries to counter by closing the distance.
Maui misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cody Dillon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deon Maui.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maui wants to clinch.
Dillon misses the jab.
Maui flicks out a counter leg kick but Dillon steps away.
Maui tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dillon swivels and escapes.
It looked like Dillon wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Dillon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dillon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Maui misses with a hook. Dillon ducked under it nicely.
Maui shoots in looking for a takedown. Dillon tries to sprawl out of it but Maui keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dillon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cody Dillon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Maui walks into a straight right hand from Dillon.
Sloppy strikes from Dillon. Those never looked like landing.
Maui tries to counter by closing the distance.
Maui rushes Dillon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Maui is trying to pull guard but Dillon has him pressed against the cage.
Dillon pushes Maui back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Dillon is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Dillon throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mauis head.
Maui is looking to break free of the clinch but Dillon has double underhooks.
Dillon presses Maui against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Dillon misses with a punch to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dillon trying to stall but Maui improves his position.
Dillon swings wildly with an uppercut but Maui uses good head movement to avoid it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Maui jumps into guard, dragging Dillon to the mat.

Dillon gets to his feet. Maui looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Maui forces Dillon back against the cage and clinches.
Dillon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Dillon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Maui fails with a takedown attempt.
Dillon throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dillon throws a right and a left that Maui avoids nicely.
Dillon clinches up against the cage.
Maui jumps guard but Dillon stands there with Maui around his waist. Maui gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Maui tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Dillon misses with a punch on the inside.
Dillon lands with a right to the head.
Dillon lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Dillon misses with a short punch on the inside.
Dillon lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Dillon misses with a hook from the clinch.
Dillon lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Maui backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maui wants to break the clinch but can't.
Maui looking for a takedown.
Dillon drops Maui onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Maui is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Maui is rocked!
It looks like Deon Maui has been cut.
Dillon misses with a punch on the inside.
Maui is still on wobbly legs! Can Dillon finish him?
Dillon pushes Maui against the cage. Dillon is working some dirty boxing. Dillon pushes off with a quick right hook! Maui goes down! Maui tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Dillon moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cody Dillon!
