Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jarron Faith (ranked 4543 p4p, 4580 weight class) and Jimmy Jackman (ranked 229 p4p, 230 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackman throws a low kick, looking for Faith's leg but Faith calmly moves out of range.
Faith stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Faith avoids a kick to the body.
Faith appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Jackman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackman lands in his opponent's guard.
Faith wants to sweep here but Jackman controlling him for the moment.
Jackman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jackman tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Jackman is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jackman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Faith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jackman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
