Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Hammond (ranked 5527 p4p, 3604 weight class) and Gordon Nesbitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordon Nesbitt told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Hammond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gordon Nesbitt!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammond throws a head kick that misses.
Hammond drops his hands momentarily and Nesbitt takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Sam Hammond has been cut.
Hammond walks into a jab.
Hammond slips a straight right by Nesbitt.
Hammond moves to clinch but Nesbitt breaks away
and Nesbitt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nesbitt circles away from the clinch attempt
and Nesbitt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hammond ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammond is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sam Hammond's cut is getting worse.
Hammond closes the distance looking to clinch
and Nesbitt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hammond is rocked!
Hammond throws a series of punches but Nesbitt avoids them all with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nesbitt throws an overhand right that lands on Hammond's shoulder, as Hammond tries to avoid the shot.
Hammond tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nesbitt unleashes a big counter combination but Hammond bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Nesbitt feints with a jab and clips Hammond right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Hammond is sent crashing into the canvas and Nesbitt leaps in for the kill! Hammond tries to get to his feet but Nesbitt is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Hammond is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gordon Nesbitt!
A relieved looking Gordon Nesbitt thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
