Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Batu Otgonbayar (ranked 2425 p4p, 5456 weight class) and Ray Cartier (ranked 308 p4p, 193 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Batu Otgonbayar! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Cartier! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cartier shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Otgonbayar counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cartier looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Otgonbayar tries to clinch there but Cartier circles away.

Otgonbayar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Otgonbayar drives through and clinches with Cartier against the cage.
Cartier takes a shot to the head. Still in the clinch, Otgonbayar scores with a nice short uppercut. Otgonbayar working some nice short punches in the clinch. Otgonbayar gets through Cartier's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. I was talking to Otgonbayar's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Otgonbayar softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Cartier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Otgonbayar gets caught napping as Cartier dives in and scores a takedown. Otgonbayar manages to retain guard. Otgonbayar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Cartier advances to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cartier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Otgonbayar is just riding it out for now. That's two minutes gone in the round. Cartier lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Cartier throwing shots but Otgonbayar is blocking nicely. Cartier looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Cartier tries to pass to full mount but Otgonbayar defends it. Well, if Cartier is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Cartier tries to pass the half guard into mount. Otgonbayar knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Cartier landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cartier is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Otgonbayar! Otgonbayar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cartier on the ground. Cartier breaks from Otgonbayar's wrist control and lands an elbow. Cartier throws some wild stikes that Otgonbayar manages to avoid easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cartier wants to control the pace but Otgonbayar is squirming around nicely. Cartier controlling from the full mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Otgonbayar takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Otgonbayar is in a horrible position here. Cartier smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cartier wants to finish this one by submission but Otgonbayar is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cartier. Cartier cracks Otgonbayar with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Cartier controlling his opponent. Otgonbayar has left one of his arms exposed and Cartier doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Otgonbayar screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

During a confident post fight interview, Ray Cartier thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
