Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terrell Yates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jordan Burroughs!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burroughs's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Yates connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Burroughs scrambles back to his feet.
Burroughs shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Yates napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Burroughs lands an elbow.
Burroughs trying to control the position but Yates is working away.
Burroughs in side control lands a decent elbow.
Burroughs grinds an elbow into Yates's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yates tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Yates definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Burroughs looks up at the clock and then as Yates takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Burroughs smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Yates takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Burroughs works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Oh Yates is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Burroughs working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Burroughs lands an elbow.
A big shot lands for Burroughs! That's hurt Yates! Will he recover? Burroughs fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jordan Burroughs!
A very excited looking Jordan Burroughs rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
