Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Batista (ranked 2864 p4p, 3919 weight class) and Uncle Abner (ranked 304 p4p, 395 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rock Batista! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uncle Abner! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abner connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Batista momentarily.
Abner misses with a low kick.
Abner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Batista will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Batista moves away from the strike by Abner. Batista tries to score a power double leg takedown but Abner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Batista somewhat. Abner stuffs the takedown attempt from Batista. Batista gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rock Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abner throws a sloppy head kick and Batista counters with a one-two to the body. Abner moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Rock Batista has been cut. Batista shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Abner as he avoids it easily. Abner lands a big head kick that sends Batista tumbling to the mat! Abner takes a step backwards and waves Batista back to his feet - he wants the finish! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Abner fails to land with a series of punches.
Abner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Batista. It seemed like Abner was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batista shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Abner but Abner pushes him off and we're back to square one. Batista shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Abner as he jumps to the side. Abner stuns Batista with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Abner throws a leg kick that misses. Batista will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Batista shoots in but Abner avoids the takedown attempt easily. Batista misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Abner throws a head kick that misses. Abner stuffs the takedown. Abner lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Batista blocks a head kick by Abner.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Batista tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Abner swivels and escapes. Batista tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abner swats him away and circles back towards the center. Abner throws a nice looking combination but Batista bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Abner feints and then cracks Batista's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Batista down. Abner tries a head kick but it misses.
Batista rushes Abner and presses him up against the cage. Abner prevents a body shot from Batista. With the fighters up against the cage, Abner throws an elbow but misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Batista is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Abner is defending well. Batista tries to pull guard but Abner holds him up against the cage and eventually Batista drops back down to his feet.
Batista has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Abner after a bit of a struggle. Batista throws an elbow that misses.
Abner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Batista wants to clinch up but Abner keeps it at a distance. A combination from Abner does no damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batista shoots in but Abner avoids the takedown attempt easily. Batista fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Abner throws a leg kick but Batista sees it coming and checks it nicely. Batista shoots in for a takedown but Abner shows good takedown defense. Abner lands with a nice body punch. Batista is trying hard to land a takedown here. Abner sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Abner jabs at Batista's body. Batista looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Batista is breathing heavily. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Abner. Batista shrugs it off though. Rock Batista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Abner clobbers Batista with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A left lands for Abner.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abner throws a head kick that misses. We've been informed that Abner has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Abner throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Batista slips under a jab. Abner throws a shot to the body.
Batista tries to clinch up and Abner counters with a right hand to the body. Abner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Batista stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Abner bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Batista's head backwards. Abner clobbers Batista with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Batista fails with a takedown attempt. Abner misses with a body kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Uncle Abner dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rock Batista's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Abner throws a sloppy head kick and Batista moves out of range easily. Batista gets in close and instigates a clinch. Abner breaks the clinch.
Batista ducks right into an uppercut from Abner. Abner lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Abner misses with a looping right. Batista closes this distance looking for a takedown but Abner circles away. Abner misses with a jab, cross combination.
Batista attempts a counter takedown but Abner avoids it well and moves away. Batista misses with a takedown and Abner counters with a crisp right hand that drops Batista! Abner lets Batista back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Batista is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Abner looks for the body kick but Batista saw that one coming. Batista has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rock Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him. Batista looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Abner is fending him off so far but Batista persists. Nope, Abner circles away and we're back to standing. Abner appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Batista stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Abner.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abner connects with a high kick. Batista closes the distance and clinches. Abner has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Batista is trying to pull guard but Abner has him pressed against the cage. A shot in the inside from Abner. Batista drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Abner gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Batista wants a takedown but no success here.
Abner breaks the clinch.
Abner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Abner wants it to stay on the feet. Batista takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Abner misses the shot to the body. Abner throws a sloppy head kick and Batista moves out of range easily. Batista looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. That's two minutes gone in the round. Batista changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Abner tries to avoid it but Batista manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Abner to the ground. Abner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Batista tries to clinch but Abner moves out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Abner lands a jab to Batista's midsection. Abner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Abner wants it to stay on the feet. Abner drops Batista with a beautiful combination! Batista stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Abner is looking for the KO! Oh Batista is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Batista is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Abner feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Batista sprawling to the canvas! Batista rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Abner finish him?!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Batista. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Batista tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Abner paws at him with a jab and circles away. Batista misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Abner.
Batista drops his hands momentarily and Abner needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Batista just on the top of the head. Batista drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Batista - he's done!
