PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Borisov (ranked 4122 p4p, 4398 weight class) and Zig Zig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borisov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, AC/DC - Thunderstruck. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zig closes the distance and pushes Borisov back into the cage.
Zig stops a takedown attempt from Borisov.
Zig gets underhooks to prevent Borisov's takedown attempt.
Zig ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Zig no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Borisov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Borisov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zig's head.
Borisov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Borisov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Borisov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Zig striking off his back but it's not causing Borisov any problems.
Borisov postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Borisov stands up over Zig, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Borisov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Borisov stands and throws Zig's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Zig is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Borisov has hold of Zig's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Zig tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Borisov cranks the arm and Zig screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Zig, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sergey Borisov!
