Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Small Reggie (ranked 4552 p4p, 3706 weight class) and Jimmy Uso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jimmy Uso enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Small Reggie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimmy Uso! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uso decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Reggie is trying to get back to full guard. Uso scoring with strikes to the body and head. Uso takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Reggie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Reggie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Uso. Uso slips a nice elbow through Reggie's hands, connecting with Reggie's forehead. Uso lands strikes from half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Reggie keeps control of the position for the meantime. Uso looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Reggie is pressing down on Uso's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Reggie working for a triangle but Uso defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Reggie is trying to keep Uso in close.
Reggie keeping moving, preventing Uso from controlling successfully. Uso postures up and lands a big shot to Reggie's brow. Uso wants to control from the top but Reggie keeps moving. Reggie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Reggie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Uso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Uso controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Uso postures up.
Uso not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Uso loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Reggie controls Uso momentarily but Uso frees himself. Uso distracts Reggie with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Reggie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Uso throwing strikes but missing. Uso in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Uso is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uso slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Reggie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Uso tries to free his leg and advance position but Reggie is retaining full guard. Uso working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Uso connects with a couple of short punches. Reggie controls Uso momentarily but Uso frees himself. Uso is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Reggie working a defensive guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Uso makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Uso avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Uso's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Uso is in close to Reggie's body, working some short punches and elbows. Uso must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Reggie is trying to control the position but Uso postures up. Uso trying to control the position from guard on top but Reggie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reggie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Uso is in close to Reggie's body, working some short punches and elbows. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Uso's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reggie controls Uso momentarily but Uso frees himself. Reggie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Uso doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Uso manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Uso dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Uso drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Uso really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reggie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Reggie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Uso defends well. Reggie is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Uso has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Uso scoring with punches to the head and body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uso slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Uso grinds an elbow into Reggie's temple. Uso is looking to take a break and control but Reggie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Reggie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

It looks like Small Reggie has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reggie is looking to reverse the position. Uso connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Reggie some visible discomfort.
Small Reggie's cut is getting worse. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reggie is looking for a sweep. Reggie is working hard here to advance position. Uso in side control lands a decent elbow.
Small Reggie's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Reggie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Uso wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Uso creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Jeez, Small Reggie's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Small Reggie's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
