The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Murphy. That snapped Luiz's head back.
Murphy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Luiz can pounce on him.
Luiz checks a low kick from Murphy.
Luiz throws a head kick but Murphy moves out of range.
Murphy explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Murphy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Murphy punishes Luiz's body with a nice straight punch.
Luiz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Luiz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Luiz throws a sloppy head kick and Murphy moves out of range easily.
Luiz looks gassed!
Luiz takes a jab right on the kisser.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Murphy feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Luiz crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lester Murphy!
