The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atunes throws a looping overhand right but Fuhren ducks down to avoid it.
Fuhren has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Atunes.
Atunes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Atunes throws an overhand right that lands on Fuhren's shoulder, as Fuhren tries to avoid the shot.
Atunes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Atunes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Casa Steel in the buildup to the fight.

Fuhren throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Atunes sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Atunes throws a nice looking combination but Fuhren bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Fuhren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Atunes manages to avoid it.

Atunes takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Atunes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fuhren sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Fuhren! But no joy.

Edison Atunes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fuhren lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fuhren looks to land a combination but Atunes avoids it well.

Atunes jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fuhren turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Atunes throws a right and a left that Fuhren avoids nicely.
Atunes on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Atunes misses with a body kick.
Fuhren flicks out a counter leg kick but Atunes steps away.
Atunes checks the leg kick.
Fuhren misses with a hook.
Fuhren scoring well with a low kick there.
Atunes tests Fuhren's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Atunes lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fuhren has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Fuhren dips to his left and cracks Atunes with an uppercut!

Fuhren takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Fuhren cracks Atunes with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Fuhren has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Atunes to stand back up!

Atunes is rocked!
Fuhren lands a body shot.
Oh Atunes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Atunes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fuhren throws out the jab.
Atunes seems to have got his legs back now.
Atunes loads up on a big right hand but Fuhren slips the punch.
Fuhren misses with a straight left.
Atunes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fuhren's corner calls for a 1-2. Fuhren obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Edison Atunes's cut is getting worse.

Fuhren feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Atunes sprawling to the canvas! Atunes rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Fuhren finish him?!
Fuhren fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Atunes square on the jaw! Damn, Atunes is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Psiris Fuhren!
An out of breath Psiris Fuhren thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
